Let's Sew A Quilt – Saturday 19 October 2024

The perfect beginning to sewing up a quilt, or even if it's your 50th quilt, this will be a day not to forget! The aim of this workshop is to take you through the process of making a quilt from start to finish. You will need to be able to sew in a straight line and have some experience of sewing with your machine first. 

Let's get to grips with the Plus Quilt Block together, then you're free to create the rest of your quilt top, with as much input from me as you need. Once your quilt top is sewn up, we can assemble, quilt and bind our quilts. 

The quilt will measure approximately 70cm x 105cm

Saturday 19 October 10am to 4pm (approximate finish)

at Dewsbury Rooms, 8 Kingsway, Harwich CO12 3AG

Tea and biscuits will be available, please let me know if you have any dietary requirements. Lunch is not provided, please bring a packed lunch or enjoy one of the lovely cafes or bakeries nearby. Parking is available in either Orwell Place Car Park (Paid), Train Station Car Park (Paid), On the street parking outside the shop (Free).

A ramp is available if required however our toilet facilities are located at the back of the building with steps, please bear this in mind.

Tickets are £70 for the workshop which includes all the materials needed:

• Batting/Wadding
• Quilt backing
• Binding
• Thread
