The Great FetO Sewing Challenge – 17 June – All Day

Are you a fan of the Great British Sewing Bee? Would you like to join in the fun and take part in a casual, sewing challenge for a day?

I’m afraid Patrick and Esme will be busy and not judging this event, but regardless, take part in a day of sewing with Fleur et Ours. Arrive at the shop, each participant will receive their pattern and can choose ANY fabric and haberdashery from the shop to complete the challenge – very much like the televised pattern challenges, your patterns will remain a mystery until you receive them on the day.

I do have basic sewing machines at the shop and overlockers, but I would recommend that if you have one to bring your own. Iron, board, pins etc will all also be available at the shop for you to use.

Lunch will be provided and is included in the cost of the event, from 1pm we will have a break and something yummy! Please let me know in advance if you have any dietary requirements. Tea, Coffee and soft drinks will be available throughout the day with facilities available onsite.

Arrive from 09:30 to set up machines, to start at 10:00am in the shop to select fabrics and receive your patterns! The day will end at 4:00pm, when we will take photos of your final make and let the public (Instragram and Facebook) decide on the winner! The winner will receive a £40 voucher to spend with the shop.

The pattern will be beginner friendly, and of course if you get stuck on any part I am there to answer your questions.

Pre-booking is absolutely essential to ensure that I have the correct quantities of supplies and sewing stations on the day. There is the option of securing your place by deposit, balance payable on the day, or payment in full.
