Sewin’ Clothin’ Workshop – 8th April

£30.00

Sewin’ Clothin’ – Saturday 8th April 1:30pm to 4:30pm, 8 Kingsway CO12 3AG

This workshop is for established sewists who are looking to sew up their first garment or are looking to gain confidence in garment sewing.

So, you’ve chosen your pattern, bought it, printed it if it needs printing. Selected your fabric, prewashed it, but the next step is cutting your fabric! Maybe this is daunting, a little bit anxiety inducing.

Never fear! Come along with your machine and the bits you need for your project (fabric, pattern, applicable notions, you can also bring an overlocker if you would like!) and I will be on hand be it to cheerlead you on, or to ask questions, help take measurements and so on, and get you well on your way to sewing up your first garment.

You may not be able to complete your garment in 3 hours, this is not the aim, the aim is for you to feel confident to begin, and ask any questions you may have.

This group will be for a maximum of 3 sewists at a time to ensure you have the space you need and as much of my time and attention as possible.

Tea, Coffee, Cold drinks and Biscuits will of course be available.

A ramp is available if required however our toilet facilities are located upstairs, please bear this in mind.

An iron and board will be available in the shop, plus scissors, rotary cutters, pins, spare needles and threads.

Places need to be reserved in store or via the website, they are £30 for the full three hours
